Last week I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop which is located near Bremerton, Washington.
As the day approached to leave for camp, I packed up my guitar, journal, a few novels, a swimsuit, and a large bag of popcorn. I had no idea what the week ahead had in store for me. My personal mantra was to keep an open mind, hopefully learn some new riffs on my guitar, and not get eaten alive by mosquitoes. I feel as though I far surpassed my personal goals, and even though I arrived home a week later with nice red welts covering my legs from those pesky skeeters, the week was a complete success.

MY GREATEST TAKE AWAY:
As in so many things in life, I learned much more from PSGW than I originally predicted. Aside from all of the brilliant technical instruction, I was struck by the fact that for the first time in my adult life, I was surrounded by people who are passionate about creating and sharing music.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
If you are someone who is interested in honing your musical skills and sharing with like-minded folks, I encourage you to check out the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop. Whether you are a beginner or someone who has become an accomplished musician, PSGW has something for everyone. It is quite possible that you may have more fun than you ever thought humanly possible.
By the way, I never had time to eat that bag of popcorn, write in my journal, or read any novels. Thank goodness I have the rest of the year to practice all that I learned in one short week. Happy playing!
PSGW is 501c3 non-profit
